WHAT'S NEW

Carer Eligibility and Needs Assessment Trial 2006
The Commonwealth Government is currently attempting to streamline services and procedures to create a fairer system for older people requiring care to stay at home. The focus of reform is on programs funded through the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing and is being trialled with the cooperation of service providers in State and Territory Home and Community Care (HACC) programs, in the Aged Care Assessment Program and in the National Respite for Carers Program (NRCP).  Field testing of the changes is being conducted between July and October 2006 with reports to be submitted in December 2006.  Read more
