Carers NSW Biennial Conference 2009
A conference for professionals in acute care, primary and community health, community care and NSW Government agencies highlighting innovations and responses to the priorities under the NSW Carers Action Plan 2007-2012.
This Conference was held on Thursday 11 and Friday 12 June 2009 at the Novotel, Brighton-le-Sands, Sydney.
The focus of the conference was on leading practice in carer support in health and community care including:
• Recognising carers: activities and media that raise the profile of carers
• Reaching hidden carers: strategies and initiatives that identify and support carers
• Carer focused services: challenges and successes
• Partnerships with carers: collaborative approaches to care
• Caring and life balance: workplace and caring, health and wellbeing, the ethics of caring, succession planning
